It was back in 1978 that The Stranglers played in Reykjavik to promote their album Black & White and I was the lucky punk teenager who was allowed to take photos with my 35mm camera of them during soundcheck. I was the luckiest one alive. It was my moment.

Many years later we have heated debate about the use of smart phones during concerts. Many artists don't like it. Don't like it all. One of them being Adele.

A new study on the other hand says, that taking photos at concerts enhances experience.

This writer could not agree more. And below are some favourite moments during last years concert going.

As for the punk teenager, when he got the film from the developing centre it was blank. The film had failed to catch the film rotor.
