The FÍT & Fúsi foosball tournament returns! Association of Icelandic Graphic Designers
On Thursday, October 1st, The Icelandic Graphic Design Association (FÍT) and the foosball club Fúsi (founded by students from the Iceland University of the Arts) are hosting their annual foosball tournament for the third time. This time around the event will take place at local arthouse cinema Bíó Paradís, Hverfisgata 54, 101 Reykjavík. The event follows AGI Open at Gamla Bíó, which concludes at 17:00. The tournament begins at 19:30 (doors open earlier).
FÍT and Fúsi welcome all their members to participate! Registration is required, and teams consist of two players. Gold, silver, and bronze prizes will be awarded, as in previous years. This year, there will also be a prize for the best team uniforms. Guests are welcome to join in and watch the tournament.

Foosball has long been a cherished pastime among students at the Iceland University of the Arts, with a history dating back to 2003. The university’s foosball club, Fúsi, was founded by graphic design students in 2022. The World Graphic Design Foosball Championship was first held in New York in 2004, organised by karlssonwilker, the design studio founded and run by Hjalti Karlsson and Jan Wilker.
FÍT and Fúsi seek to support and celebrate this rich tradition, which has long been a source of entertainment and an important part of the graphic design community’s social life. Or, as Fúsi’s manifesto puts it: “The foosball table is a venue for designers to come together and share ideas, wisdom, and emotions.”
