Bone Thugs-n-Harmony

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is a U.S. rap group from Cleveland, Ohio known for their quick-tongued rapping style and harmonizing vocals.

Eazy-E is largely credited with discovering and signing Bone Thugs, and their "Crossroads" video, which was released after Eazy's death, features a scene of Eazy-E in heaven.

Some believe that someone else discovered Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. According to Dresta The Gangsta (BG Knoccout & Dresta) it was because of him that Bone thugs-n-harmony got signed to Ruthless. He says that Bone auditioned to him first and he liked their style so he got them backstage to audition for Eazy-E.

Their albums have varied in subject material, with 1994's Creepin on Ah Come Up being heavily influenced by the G-Funk gangsta rap era. E. 1999 Eternal, the group's most successful album, focused primarily on violent criminal activity, but also showed Bone exploring themes of spirituality, and the introduction of the group's trademark "weed songs"-- songs devoted entirely to smoking weed. The group's 1997 album, the Art of War, saw Bone further explore a wide variety of subjects and styles, with even more focus on God and family and an overall more ambient, mellow sound. The group still found time for violent lyrics, though, with a large portion of the album dedicated to what they labeled "clones" who claimed Bone had stolen their quick-tongued rapping style and vice-versa. 2002's Thug World Order album saw a drastic change in subject matter and tone for the group. The lyrics were almost completely void of any violence.

Perhaps the group's most important contribution to rap is their speedy, harmonizing flow. While fast rapping has always had a niche in the culture, Bone certainly brought the style to the forefront. In addition, the group's ability to harmonize whilst flowing at top speeds is truly remarkable. Not before nor since has a rapper or rap group sung an a cappella tune without loss of street cred.

Although 1996 was definitely the peak of their popular appeal, Bone still has a fairly large cult following. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are the only rap artists ever to have collaborated with late rappers Eazy-E, 2Pac, Big Punisher and Notorious B.I.G.. Their latest release, Thug Stories, was released September 19, 2006.

Bone Thugs released their new album Strength and Loyalty on May 8, 2007 with production by Swizz Beatz, Kanye West, Lil Jon, Three 6 Mafia, Big Boi of OutKast, Play-N-Skillz, Jermaine Dupri, Timbaland and Dr. Dre. It will be featuring guest appearances by Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Rowland, The Game, Lil Eazy-E ,Mariah Carey, Akon, Chamillionaire, Twista, Busta Rhymes, Stevie Wonder, Eve, Cassidy, Lil' Recka and DMX. According to the group they have recorded nearly 70 tracks and are in the process of deciding which tracks will appear on the album. Although producer DJ-Uneek helped to launch the band to stardom, he does not appear on the album; rather, handling the majority of the producton is Chicago native LT Hutton, with whom the band has worked on prior recordings. According to Bone, the album will feature all-new vocals from imprisoned member Flesh-N-Bone.

The first single, "Just Vibe", has been released on the radio in Southern California. Bizzy Bone will not be on the album. Bone says that this album will be their best ever. Swizz Beatz will handle most of the production, as the group signed in 2005 to Swizz Beatz' Full Surface Records, and in 2006 to Interscope Records.

As of 2006 to the present, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, especially Krayzie Bone, have continued their strong track record of collaborations and appearances on compilation albums. Krayzie appeared on Duets: The Final Chapter by Notorious B.I.G., the soundtrack from the Antonio Banderas movie Take the Lead and on DJ Khaled's new album Listennn... The Album (all of these appearances were credited as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony on the track listings to show the loyalty of the group). Bone Thugs appeared with Lil Eazy-E on the soundtrack to The Game's debut acting movie Waist Deep, and on The Source Presents Fat Tape Vol. 1. The most successful was Krayzie Bone's appearance on Chamillionaire's #1 single Ridin'. Krayzie Bone is featured on the new 2Pac album Pac's Life on the song "Untouchable (Swizz Beatz Remix)," credited as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

Emerging from Bristol's creative underground scene in the early 90s, Tricky played a pivotal role in Massive Attack's early work before going solo and forging his own style - a distinctive blend of dark production, intimate vocals and genre-bending experimentation.

Along the way, he has collaborated with notable names such as PJ Harvey and Björk and released a long series of albums, each of which has expanded his musical range.

Tricky has most recently been in the news with the release Out The Way, a collaboration with Polish singer Marta. The album shows a more subdued and atmospheric direction and confirms that Tricky continues to develop his expression and explore new collaborations.

The concert at Store VEGA builds on this forward movement. Here, Tricky will present a curated selection of tracks from throughout his career – both key works and newer material – arranged in a new live format developed for the 2026 tour.

The audience can expect a concert where Tricky's special musical space unfolds: raw, intense and with the hypnotic atmosphere that has made him a unique figure in modern music.

From his humble roots in the Irish electronic underground scene, to spreading his wings in the UK and across Europe, KETTAMA now undertakes an unrelenting worldwide touring schedule, most recently with a standout tour across North America, Canada and South America.

With performances at Coachella, Glastonbury, Kappa Futur, Creamfields, Arc Festival, Portola, to name a few, this year is shaping up to be his biggest yet. Currently halfway through an Ibiza residency at the iconic Amnesia nightclub, KETTAMA also hosted a solo Boiler Room show in London which drew over 15000 sign ups, and has just announced his biggest London show to date, at the legendary 02 Academy in Brixton on 4th October.

Two years on from landing his Fallen Angel EP, KETTAMA now presents what could be his magnum opus, with his Archangel debut album set to land on Steel City Dance Discs on Friday October 3. Dj Harvey is a DJ from Cambridge, England. His real name is Harvey Bassett. Harvey is today one of the most respected DJs in the world whose appeal across the genres of the music and clubbing community. His DJ talents are in demand throughout England, Europe and the world. He has a solid following in places as far-flung as Singapore and Japan. Harvey is considered influential in bringing over the disco/garage/house sound from America to the UK. His musical career officially began at the age of thirteen when he was enlisted as a drummer for a Cambridge punk band Ersatz, whose other members’ average age was 24.[1] The band formed an indie label, Leisure Sounds, releasing the single Smile in Shadow, which was broadcast on Radio 1’s John Peel Show.

Harvey’s progression into DJing came after a trip to New York where he was inspired by the emerging hip-hop movement. He felt that “cutting up” breaks was an extension of drumming and so purchased his first pair of Technics, brought them home and practised. A graffiti “bomber” and member of the gang which went on to take the name, TDK (Tone Deaf Crew) Harvey's crew gained notoriety as TONKA Hi Fi. It was as the DJ for the crew that he forged his reputation as an eclectic programmer of music, throwing outlandish, sometimes weekend-long, parties in their native Cambridge as well as Brighton, London and on the festival circuit. The Brighton parties continued for five years, from 1988 to 1993, drawing a large and loyal crowd, to The Zap Club, and, after the club closed at 2am, for hours, or even days more, on the beach, at Black Rock.

Having already been in love with hip hop, electro and disco the sound he had emulated after his trip to New York he inevitably alighted on house and garage too, and began playing more parties in London; along such US DJ heavyweights as Francois Kevorkian[2] and Kenny Carpenter all of whom were still relatively unknown and unheard of in this country[clarify]. Playing bs such as Solaris and Freedom were all after the Harvey sound.

In 1991 Harvey further cemented his reputation with his own night “Moist” at the Gardening Club in London.[2] It was here he brought over some of the greatest New York DJs including Larry Levan,[2] locahis fabled six-hour mix of disco, house, garage and dancefloor friendly rock records, a sound he has carried through to his later residencies, notably the celebrated New Hard Left at the Blue Note.

After Moist ended, Harvey began playing at the Ministry Of Sound,[2] where he later became resident on both Friday[citation needed] and Saturday.[2] This resulted in the 1996 release of his mix album “Late Night Sessions.”[2]

He has released tracks under various pseudonyms on labels such as Mo’ Wax, Dorado, Ministry Of Sound, Skint and Junior Boys Own. He has produced and remixed tracks for Jamiroquai, Brand New Heavies, Ian Brown, Stereo MCs, Electronic, The Police and Cornershop as befits his eclectic style. He is one half of the duo behind the classic and elusive Black Cock record label, on which he has recreated famous and lost edits of disco records by house music pioneers such as Larry Levan and Ron Hardy.

Harvey's recent move to Los Angeles hasn't dampened his enthusiasm for music. His nine hour sets in Los Angeles warehouses have attracted an asortment of enthusiastic music fans. and he is currently playing DJ gigs around the planet. He has also collaborated with Thomas Bullock (of Rub'N'Tug and A.R.E. Weapons) on the disco rock project Map of Africa, which released an LP in 2007 on Whatever We Want records.[3][4]

Jamie Jones's career began as lead singer with All-4-One, best known for their #1 song on the Billboard for 11 weeks with "I Swear" in addition to other hits such as "I Can Love You Like That", "So Much In Love", "Beautiful As You" which propelled the group to multi-platinum status.

Jamie’s writing and production credits with his Emmy-, Grammy and Billboard nominated production team, The Heavyweights, includes The Disney Channel, Netflix, Nickelodeon, BET as well as a variety of musicians such as Wayne Brady, Lil’ Wayne, Tupac, Anastasia, K-pop artists, J-pop artists and more.

In 2004, Jones released his first solo album, Illuminate, followed by a self-titled neo-soul gospel album in 2006 that charted two singles: “Don’t Stop” and “Rise.”

In 2020, Jones collaborated remotely with his writing team and produced an EP titled Christmas at Home with Jamie Jones for release on his birthday, which fell on Thanksgiving Day that year. The EP features two original songs, “All I Want” featuring Pau and “Christmas Kiss” featuring Marissa Lauren, along with some of Jones’ favorite holiday classics: “Someday at Christmas,” “This Christmas,” and “Give Love on Christmas Day.”

In anticipation of his follow-up R&B/Soul EP, he has put out a single titled “Sunny.” While familiar to anyone who loves music as a song made famous by Marvin Gaye and many others, Jones shines his own light on this feel-good classic, freshening it up for a time in history where happiness and hope seemed to be in short supply. With a fullness of sound such as only The Heavyweights can bring, it became the perfect welcome for the summer of 2021.

After cutting her teeth as a producer and MC on throwback hip hop productions, her focus soon shifted to electronic music. While being thoroughly informed by previous generations of dance music, DJ Fuckoff's own take – as the name suggests – doesn’t fear eroding genres, standards and stereotypes.
