One of London's most famous and important venues back in the hayday of punk was the Hope and Anchor in Islington. All the bands in the forefront of punk and new wave played there. The Stranglers, Joy Division, The Fall just to name three. A double live album was released featuring many of these bands.

One band struck though being the odd one out, it was Mark Knopfler's Dire Straits who brought in a totally different feel.
