Queen has the song that 'the audience can participate in' with the iconic boom-boom-clap which has been thundering through stadiums worldwide since the mid-80s (We Will Rock You, obviously). The Icelandic football team started the trend of the viking-clap after their exceptional performance at the Euros.
But there's another clap in town, but this one is not so much 'the audience will instantly get it' as much as it is a skill that if you nail it you should add "can clap along without making a mistake to Muse's Starlight" to your CV and/or LinkedIn profile.
It's not nearly as simple as Queen's boom-boom-clap but is more like: clap clap-clap clap clap-clap-clap clap clap-clap... uh, maybe. But the question is: can you clap along?
Seeing Muse's Starlight live is an unforgettable experience. Here are snippets from their performance in Iceland a few years back.
