A Simple Favor, such a good movie.

How could it not be? With actresses of the calibre of Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, it seems inevitable. Not only that, but the story is the kind of thriller that those of us who grew up reading Nancy Drew and Enid Blyton and other mysteries designed to keep us so entranced we can't help but turn to the next page, have been waiting for our entire adult lives!

It's not dumb and silly, it's cool and interesting. And totally badass.

Oh, and finally it's directed by Paul Feig, who you may know from Bridesmaids, Knocked Up, but is currently finding it "delightful to play with darkness".

...and keeping with the theme of mistery-reader-all-grown-up, the soundtrack sounds like you're in equal parts being a nice sophisticated adult and just a tad mischievous; all while daydreaming in Paris – or of Paris.

If that's something that's up your grand Parisian boulevard – la playlist est ici

but don't just take our word for it...
some other people seemed to like it as well.

what's this one's name again?

and finally, a good tip in general

it's good

and no, we're not paid to say this
it's just the kinda filmmaking
we've been missing for a while
